All officers assigned to the Ashland City Police Department have completed the Police Academy which is a requirement through the State of Tennessee.  Each year all officers have to attend a week of in-service training as mandated by the Tennessee Law Enforcement Post Commission.  Also every year each officer has to attend a Child Abuse Training and Firearms Qualification as mandated by the Tennessee Law Enforcement Post Commission.
